BCD Holdings NV, together with investors ING Corporate Investments and Bluefield Investments, acquired the Dutch online ticket company Cheaptickets.
CheapTickets merged with Vliegwinkel, Vayama, Flugladen and BudgetAir to form the new combination Travix.

Travix is an online travel agency that offers airline tickets via the internet through five labels (Cheaptickets, Vayama, Flugladen, Vliegwinkel and BudgetAir). The merger created one of the larger international internet travel companies and is active in 15 countries with approximately 375 employees and an annual revenue of over USD 1 billion. The company also sells travel insurance and other services, like car rental and hotel bookings.
CheapTickets, part of the Beins Travel Group that was established in 1971, started on the Dutch market in 2001 with CheapTickets.nl. With the obtained revenue of €189 million in 2010, the Beins Travel Group is the industry leader in the Netherlands in the range of online flight ticket sales, accommodations, rental cars and travel packages. CheapTickets is now active in several countries with different labels such as CheapTicketsbusiness.nl, CheapTickets.ch, CheapTickets.be and GreenTickets.at
